Ryan Analytics is a trading name of M&L Ryan Limited (NZBN 9429052857768), operated by Mike Ryan in Christchurch, New Zealand. This notice explains how we handle personal information when you visit this website or enquire about our services.
When you contact us
If you email or call, we collect the contact details and information you choose to share, such as your name, business, contact details and an outline of the work you need. We use this to respond, discuss your requirements and prepare a proposal where appropriate.
Providing this information is voluntary. Without enough detail or a way to contact you, we may be unable to help with your enquiry. Please keep your initial enquiry to an outline of the problem.
Website information and cookies
We use Google Analytics and PostHog to understand which pages people visit and how they use the website. This can include pages viewed, selected link clicks, browser and device information, approximate location and a random visitor identifier. These services use cookies or similar browser storage to help recognise repeat visits.
We do not send enquiry contents or contact details to these analytics services. We do not record browsing sessions or automatically capture every interaction.
Selected contact-link clicks help us understand which contact options people use. A click does not tell us whether you sent an email or made a call.
You can block or clear cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may limit analytics tracking, but does not necessarily stop all analytics requests. You can still read the website and contact us.
We also respect your browser's Do Not Track setting. When it is enabled, we do not load Google Analytics or PostHog.
Hosting and service providers
Cloudflare hosts and protects this website. It processes technical information such as IP addresses and request details to deliver the site, maintain security and investigate problems. We use Microsoft 365 for email, and Google Analytics and PostHog for the analytics described above.
These providers may process or store information outside New Zealand. Our PostHog project uses its European hosting region. We remain responsible for the personal information handled on our behalf and use reasonable safeguards for its protection.
We share information with service providers as needed for these purposes, or where authorised by you or permitted or required by law.
Security and retention
We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. We keep it only as long as needed for the purposes described here and any legal record-keeping requirements. Information that is no longer needed is deleted or de-identified.
Your privacy rights
You can ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you. For a request or privacy concern, contact Mike Ryan or call 027 321 2299.
If we cannot resolve your concern, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice as the website or our practices change. The date above shows when it was last updated.
